TechNest App Scorecard · CAD $3,900 · 5 business days
Is your app
ready?
We grade your app the way an enterprise platform team would, from the code itself, in a week, at a fixed price.
Who it's for
Built fast
Your app came together quickly with Lovable, Cursor or Bolt, or with a contractor who has since moved on. It works. You don't know what's underneath.
Something big is coming
You're about to launch, raise money, sell to a bigger customer, or fill in a security questionnaire, and you need honest answers first.
Fix or rebuild?
You've inherited a codebase and need to decide whether to fix it or start over, with evidence instead of opinions.
Seven dimensions. One honest grade each.
The same seven dimensions, and the same bar, we use to grade our own products. Here's what an A looks like on each.
- 01
Engineering quality
Automated tests run on every change and block a broken one. Strict types, clean code, no dead copies of the same logic.
- 02
Infrastructure
A staging copy with its own database, deploys only through checks, backups you've actually restored, and secrets kept out of the code.
- 03
Security
Logins and roles that fail closed, each customer's data provably walled off, MFA for admins, and no known serious vulnerabilities.
- 04
Enterprise grade
Roles and an audit log, a plan for SSO, runbooks for incidents and restores, and a security overview a buyer's procurement team can read.
- 05
Scalability
Lists and reports that stay fast at ten times today's data, background jobs that survive a restart, and a load test to prove it.
- 06
Monitoring & observability
You hear about a problem before your customer does: health checks, error alerts to a person, and logs you can search.
- 07
Maintainability
Docs that explain how it works, current dependencies, and a second person who could pick it up tomorrow.
Production-grade. Nothing a reviewer would block on.
Solid, with known gaps that are bounded and on a plan.
Works, with material gaps a customer or auditor would flag.
Fragile. A known failure is live, or one bad day away.
Absent or dangerous.
Half-steps (A−, B+) are allowed. An overall A needs every dimension at B+ or better.
What you get
A grade on every dimension
A to F, with half-steps, and a one-line reason backed by evidence from your code, configuration and pipeline.
Your top five risks
Ordered by how much damage each could do, with the file and line where each one lives.
The cheapest wins
The fixes that raise a grade fastest, so you know where the first dollar of fix work should go.
A “ready for” verdict
Ready to launch, ready for paying customers, or ready for an enterprise buyer. An early app isn't failed for missing what only enterprises need.
Real counts, not impressions
We run your own tests and checks and report what passed and failed. Never “looks fine”.
A 60-minute walkthrough
We go through the report with you and your developer, and answer the fix-or-rebuild question if that's the one you have.
Not ready for real customer data yet
Ready to launch to early users, with care
Ready for paying customers
Likely ready for an enterprise buyer's questions
- Pay when the report is delivered: nothing up front, net 15.
- The full fee is credited against fix work booked within 60 days.
- A re-score after fixes is included if we do the fixes, otherwise $1,500.
What we need from you
- Read-only access to the code, plus a look at your hosting and database settings.
- A mutual NDA before we see anything. We delete our copy when the scorecard is delivered.
- We use AI tools in our work, under commercial terms that don't train on your code.
- Stacks: TypeScript and JavaScript, Next.js, React, Node, and Postgres or Supabase. Other stacks by quote.
Questions
+Why would I pay before I know what's wrong?
You don't. Nothing is due until the report is delivered, then net 15. If you book fix work with us within 60 days, the full fee comes off it.
+Isn't an enterprise bar unfair to a small app?
The grades stay honest, so you know exactly where you stand. The “ready for” verdict then tells you what matters for your stage, so a pre-launch app isn't marked down for lacking single sign-on.
+Do we have to hire you to fix it?
No. The report is written so your own developer can act on it. If you'd like us to do the fixes, the scorecard fee is credited and a re-score afterwards is included.
+What if it was built with an AI app builder?
That's one of the most common reasons people book. If we can get read-only access to the code it produced, we can grade it.
+How is this different from a security scan?
A scan checks one thing automatically. The scorecard grades seven, including whether you could recover from a bad day and whether anyone else could maintain the app, and a person reads the code.

The same scorecard we run on our own products, run on yours. Fixed price, and nothing due until it's delivered.
